DV 2011, Diversity visa lottery which is also called as green card lottery is administrated by the US State Department. This program is conducted to the request of the US Goverment to issue 50,000 Permanant resident Visas to people from countries which sends less people legally to the USA. The program is governed by simple but strict law where the participants must meet the required eligibility.
DV lottery 2011 is expected to accepts entries from eligible people for a period of 60 days in the year 2009 through the American Goverment's one and only online web site. Results will be announced to winners in the year 2010 when the computer random draw selects the winners.
Winners who get the winning notification or the second letter does not guarnteed that they will be issued with visas. They will face a interview by paying a non refundable visa fee and diversity processing fee of US$755 at the US Embassy. Visas will be issued from October 2009 to 30th September 2010.
Current visa lottery programe is DV 2010 which will be held October 2008 to 1st December 2008.
